ABC Logistics pilots fully electric delivery vans to cut missions

ABC Logistics, a subsidiary of ABC Transport Plc, has commenced the trial of its first fully electric vehicle (EV) for parcel delivery operations — a landmark step in the company’s pursuit of sustainable logistics and cleaner transportation solutions in Nigeria.
The pilot vehicle, produced by CAWIN, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, is the outcome of a strategic partnership designed to assess the performance, durability, and operational efficiency of EVs under Nigeria’s logistics conditions
During the pilot phase, the electric van will run short-distance delivery routes between nearby hubs in Lagos, focusing on consolidating small parcels for onward dispatch to other destinations.
With a range of up to 300 kilometers per full charge, the vehicle will be powered through charging stations located at ABC’s key logistics centres across Lagos — many of which are already powered by hybrid or fully off-grid energy systems.
Emblazoned with the slogan “100% Electric – Sustainable Deliveries,” the new vehicle underscores ABC Logistics’ commitment to environmental responsibility, energy efficiency, and innovation in Nigeria’s logistics industry
